My youngest volunteers at the library and last night I used that time to write, but then today I decided I don't like what I wrote. Too repetitive, probably boring. But it gave me another idea... let's look at some of my old work!
This is the first iphone photo I have of my knitting - I have no recollection of these hats, or my kids wearing them, so I'm thinking I must have been knitting to donate them.

Let's go further back in time when I didn't have an iphone and when I was posting on flickr.
There's also this scarf I crocheted back in 2005. The yarn was this sage green and it must have been acrylic, but the texture was different. I've never seen any yarn like it again.

Oh my gosh! This cat bed! I was trying to figure out how to crochet things that weren't squares. I made the cat a bed and he slept in it, or more like on it. He was a good cat and a good sport about our shenanigans.

It kinda looks like a slipper, but this was the cell phone cozy pattern my knitting teacher shared. She said she was selling them and making money doing it. I don't think I ever sold one but I had one for my phone.

The itty-bitty baby kimono! Is it the most well-constructed thing I made? Definitely not, but it's certainly cute! My baby was born in the hottest days of summer so it didn't get much use but I kept it with their baby things.

These are the first two hats I ever made back in the winter of 2006. I hated stockinette stitch and really struggled with it. Pretty sure I use Lion Brand Homespun.

I had to scroll and scroll past loads of washcloths and scarves to find my first log cabin blanket. This was 2012 or so and I was using up odd and ends.

I got really into log cabin blankets and made a bunch. I should make one again because it's such an easy, mindless pattern.

I remember this one! I buckled down and finished a second sock.

Now, these I have zero recollection of doing. I know I made blankets for unhoused people and for Binky Patrol, but I don't actually remember these, which is a huge reason I think I should keep a journal of everything I make. I think I must have knit and crocheted some of these squares (I recognize some of those, I think), but I see one with a cable and I know what wasn't me. Maybe I was putting squares together that other people made, I honestly don't remember. This was 2012.

I do remember making all of these squares and putting the blanket together.
Oh, I made so many of these coffee cup sleeves. I tried selling them on etsy but it really went nowhere and eventually I donated them all to goodwill or something.

My cane! I yarnbombed my cane. This was in 2012 when I had two knee surgeries.

I have a zillion more knit and crocheted things I've made but I'm going to stop here in 2012 for now. A lot of my knitting around 2012, blankets I donated, etc. came from this yarn that was donated to me by Baskets of Yarn in Charlotte.
