My first stuffed critter that I ever knitted - a fish! My youngest still has it in their collection.

My kids were into super bright colors back in 2014-2015. I made this hat for my oldest but the camera does not do it justice. It was a very bright neon yellow like the sort that could stop traffic.

ree

I know this was 2015 because my youngest was into ballet and I made them this little wrap sweater. Another mom asked about it and I was so proud to be able to say "I made that!". I remember making each piece and wondering how the heck it was all supposed to fit together.

Socks. So many socks! Pretty sure this is Felici from Knit Picks. It took me a couple of years to complete my first pair, but once I got into socks, I REALLY got into making socks. I have a bunch of pairs and I made plenty for my husband and kids.

Hippo! This was for my oldest and I'm pretty sure they still have it.

Completed blanket that just passed inspection from our cat. This was a blanket for us, not for donation. I try to keep my cat away and off of things intended for others since you never know who is allergic to cats.

I think this was my very first time buying yarn online. Love Knit Picks!

Not knitting, but I learned how to make stitch markers in 2016 when I had my booth. I made tons of stitch markers for Halloween, Christmas, and all kinds of colors and themes. I really like the blue and white ones.

This was part of my booth display. You can see I had some pre-made items - a few cowls, some felt bowls, crocheted market bags. There are also project bags and totes from Knit Picks and yarn from a dyer in Tennessee.

I made this wall hanging as decor, but it was also for sale. Pinterest in 2016 was full of these. You can also see my display of stitch markers as well as a few more crocheted items. I was also able to sell books and needles from Knit Picks.

Lots more cowls in this display. I would try to go in once a week to make sure everything looked neat and organized. Sometimes it was hard because I was a SAHM homeschooling my kids and the store owners didn't care too much for me bringing my kids in during the week (and they didn't encourage us to work in our booths on the weekends when it was full of customers). Some of those cowls and totes had a habit of mysteriously growing legs and walking out the door. I lost quite a bit to theft but, hey, I guess that meant people liked my stuff.

For Christmas that year I got the idea to make ornaments like I saw on Pinterest. These actually sold fairly well in December.

ree

Not something I sold at my booth, but something I made for myself. I'm pretty sure the pattern is from Tin Can Knits and I modified the sleeve length. That's one of the many benefits of making your own clothes - the ability to modify the pattern to suit your preferences.

Oh, my Hitchhiker obsession! I have made so many of these. I can't recall where I bought this yarn, but I do remember knitting this one at the beach on one of our family vacations.

ree

I had so many bits of leftover yarn from different projects - cowls, socks, etc. Just fingering weight yarn and I found a memory blanket pattern on ravelry. I used to work on this while my kids did their karate classes, at least until it got too big to lug around.

ree

I found this yarn at Michael's and the colors reminded me of a beach sunset. I made a pillow for my oldest.

ree

The memory blanket again as I added more and more squares. I should make another of these someday!

ree

My first mitten, again a pattern from Tin Can Knits. Since this one came out okay, I have made mittens over the years for my kids as they've grown. You can also see the fabric from one of my favorite dresses I made.

ree

This is a hat I made and sold as part of a pair. A twitter friend found a couple of patterns online and I made customs hats for her and her kid. That was a fun project and I enjoyed making them for her.

Well, hopefully you've enjoyed seeing a selection of my projects up until 2020. I used 2020 as a cutoff for obvious reasons - this is when Covid began and yarn was hard to come by there for a while. I remember Knit Picks didn't ship there for a while in 2020 and yarn shops were either closed or too risky. A lot of my knitting came from my stash and I haven't looked through the photos yet for my next post, but it'll be interesting to see if, or how, my crafting shifted.
