What I've been doing...

Taking a break in the story, but no worries! I've been writing and the next post is about ready to go live.

What have I been up to recently? Well, I started a really cool job that I am loving this month! It's remote and the people really are as great as they seem. Last year I volunteered with them and it seemed too good to be true. Still does, actually. I've even mentioned it when people have checked in on how things are going and I guess I still can't believe it's real. So yeah, enjoying that a lot. I love how it allows me to be creative and work as part of a team. And I learn so much from the kids.

What else?

Phoebe and Stanley went earlier this week for their spay and neuter surgeries. I told the vet that they really like each other and would probably like to be together, or at least be able to see each other, when they woke up. The vet did end up putting them together and when they called me, she said Stanley was having a great time. This is him after we got home.

Phoebe had less fun. She wiggled out of her suit before we even got home and no matter what we tried, she wouldn't keep her clothes on. Thankfully I bought some soft cone options.

She's very pretty in pink!

She's actually doing alright in her cone now, but we still have to take it off for her to eat canned food. But as soon as she's done eating, she tries to lick her belly and the cone goes right back on.

She's messy and I'm glad to have 3 options. I really think she's cute as an orange slice!

They've been staying in the living room in their pens - both of them for 3 days, but now Stanley can be out. Poor Phoebe still has a few more days though. When Stanley is out of her sight, she cries. Last night I was trying to find ways for them to play together without her getting hurt. Mostly he runs around and pretends to be scared when she hits the side of the mesh.

I got them one of the ball on a track toys and today I had to take it away from her because she was getting way too into it.

I've been spending most of my time in the dining room either working or painting. I started this paint-by-number a while back, before we got the kittens. I might finish it today!

Bonus points if you can guess what it is! When I'm done I'll post the completed painting and the photo it reminds me of.

I enjoy these but the bottom right corner of this one is making me a little twitchy. So many tiny blobs!

That's about it, y'all! Work and kittens. Kittens and work. 😊
